We are seeking a motivated Design Administrator to assist our Design Team. The Designer Admin’s main responsibility is to provide technical support to the design team by updating quotes, printing drawings, sending samples to clients, and any other administrative business involved in a project. Their contribution to the design and sales process will provide potential and existing customers with the right level of service. Depending on the level of opportunity, client type, and customs requirements other team members and or related departments may support the process.
To excel in this role, you must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent people skills. This position will focus on reactive and proactive duties. The ideal candidate will be career-minded, seeking an opportunity to grow professionally and assist in the overall growth of our company. Key Responsibilities Include:
Pro-active and reactive support to incoming inquiries delegated by the design team manager
Supporting Design Team by revising quotes, printing drawings, entering orders
Coordinating showroom visits
Resource library upkeep
Other duties as assigned
Interest and desire to work in the behind the scenes world of the retail industry
Demonstrate a willingness to continually learn about the retail industry to help OPTO grow
Self-motivated seeks to participate in the growth of our company
Technically savvy (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint, AutoCAD is a plus)
Detail Orientated; ability to multi-task and still maintain a sharp eye for detail
Strong Organizational Skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate quickly and effectively
Ability to prioritize and manage workload
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work with all departments within the organization to satisfy requests on behalf of the Design team
