Position Overview:
CallisonRTKL seeks an Interior Designer to join its Retail Stores team located in Seattle, WA. As a designer at CallisonRTKL, you will join a highly collaborative and creative team dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem-solving. Responsibilities:
Develops space plans for retail stores
Designs and draws interior plans, fixture plans, and elevations
Works with intermediate and senior level staff to review work for design integrity, accuracy, clarity and quality
Maintains fixture databases and matrices
Participates in schematic design activities, including making adaptations and modifications and assisting other designers in specific aspects of overall design
Researches codes as they relate to planning solutions
Provides quality support and initiative to further overall business goals and objectives
Pursues continuous improvement and ease of doing business to meet or exceed customer needs
Commits to learning about the field and the client, incorporating the knowledge into day-to-day business practice
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or related design field
4+ years of experience as an interior designer, retail experience preferred
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Experience with SketchUp and Affinity
Ability to focus on a single project or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly, both verbally and graphically
Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
