Position Overview:

CallisonRTKL seeks a Junior Interior Designer to join its Retail Stores team located in Seattle. This position collaborates with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem solving. The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, detailed-oriented, and a self-starting individual driven to succeed.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops space planning including partition and fixture plans

  • Develops and manages furniture and interior fittings packages

  • Works closely with senior staff supporting design and technical tasks

  • Assists with construction document preparation

  • Revises drawings and renderings

  • Participates in client meetings and presentations

  • Conducts research for the project team

  • Organizes files, materials, and displays

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related design field

  • 1+ year of related experience, retail project experience preferred

  • Experience space planning

  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication

  • Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp

  • Experience with Microstation, Illustrator and Photoshop preferred

  • LEED accreditation preferred
