As PAVE Global's 30th Anniversary celebration continues, PAVE in partnership with VMSD and SmartWork Media is excited to announce that the VMSD Scholarship is back for 2023 and is better than ever!

The 3rd Annual VMSD Scholarship recognizes and supports leadership potential in students pursuing degrees in Interior Design, Retail Design, Hospitality Design, Visual Merchandising, Architecture, UX/UI Design, Engineering, Product Design, and similar programs.
In honor of PAVE's Anniversary, the VMSD Scholarship has evolved into The VMSD Scholarship + Experience! The recipient of this year's scholarship will receive a $1,500 grant plus travel, hotel, and expenses covered to attend the International Retail Design Conference (IRDC) 2023, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this October, a total value of $4,400.
“Our publication is honored to be able to support the students of our unique industry through this annual scholarship,” says Carly Hagedon, Editor-in-Chief, VMSD magazine, and Co-Chair, International Retail Design Conference. “It’s imperative to foster the professional growth of these soon-to-be rising stars, who will drive retail and store design forward through their future endeavors. VMSD is humbled to be part of this mission.”
The PAVE Scholarship Program, now in its thirteenth year, provides financial assistance to students in educational programs preparing them for careers in the retail environments industry, including but not limited to careers in retail design, visual merchandising, interior design, architecture, product design, UX design, graphic design, and industrial design. PAVE was developed to help ensure a future talent pool for the industry by eliminating barriers to studying in these fields. The funds assist students who are experiencing financial difficulties that may prevent them from continuing school. PAVE has awarded students over $246,000 in financial grants and scholarships in the past five years.
