Sarah Baxter, Endicott College, Senior, Bachelor of Interior Architecture
The PAVE Global Inspired by Design: Student Visionary Award recognizes and honors emerging student visionaries who are expected to revolutionize the industry with their innovative ideas and designs, making a positive impact on the world.
Current undergraduate and graduate-level design, architecture, and visual merchandising students were invited to participate by submitting a series of boards that showcase one of the provided design topics - Human and Community Connection, Sustainability, Cultural Awareness/DEI, Universal Design, or Educational Innovations. The boards were to showcase a pre-existing project that embodies the chosen topic with answers to the questions provided. All submissions were then reviewed blindly by a panel of industry professionals.

“Opportunities such as the PAVE Inspired by Design Award are just one of the many programs, we have created to reward deserving students interested in pursuing a career in the design industry. In addition to being recognized next Thursday, December 7th, 2023, at the 25th Annual PAVE Gala in New York City (travel expenses covered). The 2023 Inspired by Design: PAVE Student Visionary Award Honorees will also each be awarded a $7,500 cash prize and additionally, $1,000 grants will be awarded to each of the finalist's schools, departments, or educators to cover the travel expenses for attending the 2023 PAVE Gala with the student.
