Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced retail designer motivated to assist and lead customer accounts aiding in the growth of our business. A designer that is full of curiosity, passion, and creative drive that is ready to be part of a collaborative design team. The designer provides creative and technical support for merchandise and display needs, offering solutions to customer projects. The role requires managing multiple tasks and projects with defined timelines, collaborating with team members across departments, and maintaining strong product knowledge.

Responsibilities
Provide design consultation and customer service support to clients
Use design expertise to assist in promoting and securing sales of OPTO products and services
Qualify, establish, and maintain customer relationships via phone, email, and follow-up on client-specific materials
Offer both proactive and reactive support to incoming inquiries
Develop and maintain product knowledge to match customer needs with appropriate solutions
Recommend fixtures and layouts based on client specifications
Create detailed project proposals, including drawings and quotes
Assist in managing documentation, BOMs, and assembly details
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in Interior Design
Minimum of 3 years of experience in interior design, retail design, or a related industry
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint, and online research tools
Eagerness to continuously learn about the retail industry to contribute to OPTO’s growth
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and driven to contribute to company growth
Demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm for success, inspiring and influencing others through your example.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask while ensuring accuracy and precision
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
This position is based in an office environment. The role involves sitting and standing at a desk, frequent in-person and phone communication, and the regular use of standard office equipment, including phones and computers.
