Position Overview:
Visual Citi, the leader in signage and visual displays, is looking for an experienced Industrial Design Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for the design and development of all custom products including Window Displays, In-store, and Point of Purchase (POP) Fixtures.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include engineering custom displays, supervision of prototype development, creation of quote drawings, production documents, and bills of materials. This position will include a direct interface with sales account executives, designers, estimators, production staff, and outside vendors. Our ideal candidate would have excellent organizational and creative skills, and knowledge of sheet metal and wire fabrication techniques as well as plastics and wood components.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design and a minimum of 2+ years experience designing and developing innovative products OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven high-level CAD skills preferably using Solidworks.
High level of proficiency in creating 2D and 3D sketches and renderings.
Proven expertise and experience in manufacturing processing, plastic, wood, metal, and other materials.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, CAD proficient, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment to meet demanding deadlines and manage multiple projects.
