STUDENT DESIGN CHALLENGE
PROUDLY SPONSORED BY

The PAVE x Home Depot Student Design Challenge proudly sponsored by Vanguard Companies promotes “real-world” design experience for college-level students in North America, who are interested in pursuing careers related to the design and creation of consumer environments.
THE CHALLENGE
Concept a merchandising solution within a typical Home Depot store ”end cap”, by designing a compelling display driving the customer to purchase Smart Home products for their home. This includes multiple types of signage and store displays that fit within the architecture that is an “end cap” (More information on the structure is in the brief below). Upon presenting to stakeholders, please be prepared to explain why and how you arrived at your particular solution. Essentially, we are looking for design solutions that showcase the Hub Space brands, addressing flexibility, sustainability, and innovation while continuing to support The Home Depot mission.
THE PRIZE
The best design will be chosen and our sponsor Vanguard Companies will work directly with the student(s) in a mentoring role to translate their intentions into a prototype. These prototypes will be displayed prominently in the PAVE Global booth at Shop! Marketplace, in Austin Texas, April 25-27, 2023.
Additionally, the winning student(s) will also receive an invitation to attend Shop! Marketplace (flight, hotel, and per diem covered) where they will get to participate in exciting educational sessions, make new professional connections, and see their design brought to life.
