Henderson Companies Engineering Scholarship

The Scholarship​

The Henderson Companies Engineering Scholarship recognizes one student pursuing a career in engineering or a related field connected to the built environment.

 

The recipient will receive:

• $5,000 scholarship

• Airfare to New York City

• Hotel accommodations

• Daily per diem

• Recognition at the 2026 PAVE Gala on December 10

Eligibility Guidelines​

To be eligible for the Henderson Companies Engineering Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.

• Be currently enrolled in a U.S.-based college or university.

• Be pursuing a degree in engineering or a related program connected to building systems, construction management, or commissioning.

• Priority consideration will be given to students from groups historically underrepresented in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.

• No minimum GPA is required.

Application Materials​

To complete your application, you will need to submit the following:

1. Essay
Maximum 500 words answering: Why do you wish to pursue the degree program you’ve chosen? What do you hope to do with your education? How will this scholarship help you achieve your goals?

2. One Letter of Reference
Upload one letter of reference from a professor, faculty member, employer, internship supervisor, or other professional reference.

3. Previous Henderson Companies Scholarship Disclosure
Indicate whether you have previously received an award from any Henderson Companies scholarship fund.

4. Current Transcript
A complete copy of your current transcript, official or unofficial.

​

5. Completed Application
All application materials must be submitted through PAVE Global’s Submittable portal.

Application Process​

 

Step 1: Review Eligibility
Confirm that you meet the scholarship’s eligibility requirements, including enrollment status, location, and eligible field of study.

Step 2: Prepare Your Materials
Gather your essay, letter of reference, current transcript, and any information needed to complete the application.

Step 3: Submit Your Application
Complete and submit your application through PAVE Global’s Submittable portal by October 30, 2026.

Step 4: Monitor Your Email
Following the deadline, keep a close eye on the email address used for your application. The selected recipient will need to respond promptly so Gala travel arrangements can be coordinated.

Before You Submit​

Before submitting your application, make sure you can check off each item below:

• ☐ Your essay is 500 words or fewer and answers all three required questions.

• ☐ Your letter of reference has been uploaded.

• ☐ You have completed the previous Henderson Companies scholarship disclosure.

• ☐ Your transcript is current and complete.

• ☐ All required application fields are complete and accurate.

• ☐ You are using an email address you check regularly.
