STUDENT DESIGN CHALLENGE

PROUDLY SPONSORED BY

OPTO_Horizontal_Tagline White.png

The PAVE x Fred Meyer Student Design Challenge proudly sponsored by OPTO International promotes “real-world” design experience for college-level students in North America, who are interested in pursuing careers related to the design and creation of consumer environments.

THE CHALLENGE

Create a flexible merchandising system that will function as both a system to display a variety of products and information touch points, as well as being an architectural element for defining departmental spaces. The display is to be used in multiple departments functioning as a gateway to the department.

THE PRIZE

The best design will be chosen and our sponsor OPTO International will work directly with the student(s) in a mentoring role to translate their intentions into a prototype. This prototype will be built and displayed prominently in the PAVE Global booth at Shop! Marketplace, in Cincinnati, Ohio, April 9-11, 2024.

Additionally, the winning student(s) will also receive an invitation to attend Shop! Marketplace (flight, hotel, and per diem covered) where they will participate in exciting educational sessions, make new professional connections, and see their design brought to life.
