THE CHALLENGE

Design a temporary workspace environment utilizing B+N Industries' System 1224 Online Configurator. 
1.) Open B+N Industries' System 1224 Online Configurator.
2.) Under the first tab "Define Your Space" please enter 48" x 72". The base of your temporary workspace will be the System 1224 Rolling Wall
  • Your workspace may be single or double-sided.
  • If double-sided, you will need to build each side separately in the configurator and submit a screenshot for each side. Please indicate "Side A" and "Side B" on the screenshots.
3.) Under the second tab "Design Your Wall," utilize any panels, shelving, storage, and/or accessories currently included to design your temporary workspace environment. 
  • There are 2 accessories not currently available in the configurator that you may use- a Murphy Table and a 24" x 72" metal panel. If you choose to include the Murphy Table or 24" x 72" metal panel in your design, please indicate where it will be used within your written statement.
  • Only 1 Murphy Table may be used per fixture. A double-sided workspace cannot have a Murphy Table on each side. 
  • If there is an accessory that is not currently available through the configurator or by B+N Industries, you are welcome to design the accessory and submit a working sketch with your entry. If chosen as the winner, B+N Industries will do its best to bring your accessory to life.
 
4.) Screenshot your wall(s) and if applicable, label them before submitting.
5.) OPTIONAL: Create and include print-ready graphics for the panels
6.) Submit all materials through Submittable by 11:59 pm Eastern on Friday, September 17, 2021.

THE PRIZE

​The most creative and functional configuration will be selected by B+N Industries to be built and prominently displayed at NeoCon 2021, October 4-6, 2021 at The Mart in Chicago, IL. The winning student will also be invited to attend NeoCon to see their design brought to life and network with industry leaders. Registration to NeoCon will be complementary, students will be responsible for their own transportation to the event. A per diem will be provided to cover gas, parking, and food.

THE GUIDELINES

  • You must be currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year program pursuing a degree in retail design, interior design, architecture, industrial design, product design, graphic design, visual merchandising, UX design, or similar areas of study. (If you are unsure if your major qualifies, please contact us at info@paveglobal.org

  • You must be physically located in the Chicagoland area. 

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Submit a screenshot of your configuration through Submittable by Friday, September 17th at 11:59 pm Eastern/10:59 pm Central

  • Include a brief statement about your configuration. (250 words max)

  • Include print-ready graphics, if applicable. 

  • The student's name may not appear anywhere on the deliverables.

Within those systems, there are plenty of built in options for customization to create a unique look for whatever brand is looking to utilize them. That said, we recognize that competitive pricing on both stock items and custom work drive business, and have made a conscious effort to reduce costs without diminishing quality.

We also realize that collaborations are vital to our continued growth. If you look at most of the successful retailers and brands, part of their success is via collaborations. We see this as a creative way to keep our brand fresh in the consumer’s mind, which is precisely why we teamed up with Rex Ray in 2013 to create a line of products and have partnered with the Japanese company Toppan in the third quarter of 2014 to bring our newest product line Fortina to our North American clients.
